Catching up on Wheel of Time while I have a cold (fond memories of reading the books as a kid, also with a fever) and I cannot get over how good the casting is. Especially Abdul Salis as Eamon Valda, who is in like five scenes, but the *tension* in this performance lives rent-free in my mind.

Catching up on Wheel of Time while I have a cold (fond memories of reading the books as a kid, also with a fever) and I cannot get over how good the casting is. Especially Abdul Salis as Eamon Valda, who is in like five scenes, but the *tension* in this performance lives rent-free in my mind.

"Praise the CEO and pass the potato salad" may be one of the best lines I've ever written, and it's in the setting chapter of an RPG about space cowboys.

The only thing left is the moment of truth. You have to spread it on something. In my case, biscuits. But toast? Crackers? Sure why not. I suggest something warm, but you do you. Take a bite. Hear the celestial chorus of the universe sing in jealousy of what you have created. Go forth, and enjoy.

Once it's soft enough to slide easily around the bowl, transfer it to a smaller container - I find a coffee mug or tea cup works well - and continue to whisk the absolute hell out of it. Eventually it'll incorporate into something that looks uniform.

I suggest letting the butter hang out on the stove, ideally while you bake something to put this on. Then start mixing.
It may be tough at first, but keep at it and it'll start to soften up. It'll look gross at first. You will question all of your life choices. Keep mixing. Trust the process.

Step 1: Assemble ingredients. (pictured below)
One (1) stick of butter, cut into cubes and brought up to room temperature.
Enough honey to lightly coat the cubes. It's somewhere between a 1/2 to 3/4 ratio of honey to butter.
Apple pie spice to coat all that.
A LIGHT dusting of cayenne.
