I'm biased, but I think WordPress.com/newsletter fits your description pretty well. It is built on top of WordPress.

I work in a team that is fully focused on building calm, open platform for creators on WordPress.com. We prioritize ease-of-use for both creators and their audience.

The missing image may have been because it was an AVIF image.

That definitely looks like something it would catch! If you have the bandwidth, would you mind sending us more info about the site and the comments via the Akismet contact form?

We'll take a look at the comments and see what we can do to improve things.

Thank you!

Yeah, I only switched email for now. I continue to use all other Google services. Alternatives, including Proton's, aren't good enough for me to switch yet.

I switched a couple of years ago, and I've been happy with it. It works well. I only miss the Google calendar integration, where events would get created whenever I received an email with plane tickets for example. Proton has a Calendar feature but it's nowhere near as useful as Google Calendar.

That sounds like things we should address! I'd need more info about that custom meta though. Could you email me more details about your site and the plugin you use that conflicted with Jetpack's OG tags?
Thank you!

Maybe Bluesky doesn't support AVIF files in its post previews?
(I'm seeing you're using an AVIF images in that post)

I found thewp.world to be pretty useful for that. It includes a page where you can search for past WordCamps and check them in. Going through the full list helped me remember a few WordCamps I had originally forgotten about :)

WordPress is a global community. This directory aims to show just how simultaneously big and small the WordPress community is!

> Instead of just letting it auto-post the content, I added my own as I found it was just truncating.

I personally find it best to enter a custom message in the Jetpack Social settings for the post, instead of letting it truncate for me.
That is, when I think about doing it... :)

Thanks for the feedback! We're still iterating on the feature.

- Right now only featured images get displayed. We're discussing this here: github.com/Automattic/j...
- Hashtags are not supported yet. github.com/Automattic/j...

Keep that feedback coming, here or on GitHub, so we can keep improving!
