It's a common misconception that factory jobs are "boring, low skill work." That wasn't my experience. Process improvement was everyone's job. You'd constantly find things that could be made better and suggest fixes. A good fix would be implemented throughout the plant, often almost immediately.

The Concorde was never allowed to go supersonic over land. The sonic boom had been known to blow out building windows.
That problem may well have been solved. And soon supersonic passenger flights may return. All due to an NC original.

Day 1: Here in Wilmington, NC, we got snow today. The humidity index was the lowest it's been since we moved here (snowfall often does this). Very enjoyable.
