I agree but I don't know why.

We really need to stop saying there are more children with autism because of changes in diagnostic practices. It's been clearly stated that there are more diagnoses but not necessarily more cases.

so 2+2=5 because we can say that sometimes, and it can be true sometimes, when you are using a form of shorthand in your speech-- not that it signifies "<pure math>2+2=5</pure math>" because that would be false. If you want 2 apples and 2 oranges and that's what you get you'll leave 5 stars.

On the other hand, it could be truthfully the case that Shakespeare is overrated due to his propensity to compose fiction. I.e., his tendency to lie. Because that's what fiction is. If reality really is more of a matter of "how you say it, in a given context, so it is"...

This makes sense, and is related to how I've never taken an IQ test and I become less and less wont to take one the older I get.

well according to the graph, the IQ test itself (or the tests themselves etc. etc.) presuppose that Shakespeare is overrated, and that it is more desirable to think like an Einstein.
September 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM
(here listed under Shakespeare, but could also be listed under Einstein, depending on which side of the norm you fall on, or how you feel about yourself on a given day, etc. etc.)...

What this has to do with "culture war" "debate" "about IQ"... is that it correctly identifies that the definition of IQ is of a similar quality to the word "overrated"

Whereas people who categorize math as its own separate thing and focus on words instead (like Shakespeare) like to categorize it a specific way... 2+2 always equals 4, when it's purely math.
