Cambridge Dictionary has named its word of the year for 2025, alighting on “parasocial,” used to describe a connection that people feel with someone they don’t know – or even with an artificial intelligence. https://cnn.it/4raKodW

Unpopular take here and I'm prepared for the incoming from angry Democrats.

But if people want to blame somebody for the Democrats not being able to force the Republicans to extend the ACA right now, PART of that blame falls on we the voters.

Because we didn't elect enough Democrats to do it.

This is truly where things stand
Our deductibles and now premiums are so high

The plans are unless it’s a catastrophic emergency

Insurance companies take our premiums and then refuse paying for care. It’s a racket

Now unaffordable people will die and others will go bankrupt

America can do better and Americans deserve better

@davidjziemba.bsky.social FYI. He’s running as an independent. But he’s anti MAGA.
Granted, I haven’t spoken to him in 29 years.
Then, I knew him to be a very smart, studious, hardworking, thoughtful, and honorable person. He’s represent with dignity.
He’s worth locals looking into to support him.

Any Lafayette, IN area folks - one of my high school classmates is running as an independent for Congress. www.basedinlafayette.com/p/after-2024...
After 2024 Election Day absence, polling place assigned to Purdue for early and day-of primary voting
Plus, an independent candidate emerges in Indiana House District 13. Revelations from Purdue’s nuclear summit. Wabash Township offers support for lost SNAP benefits. And more.

I asked my subscribers to send me their new ACA premium quotes. OH MY GOD. Republicans are sending us into a full on healthcare crisis. You’ve got to see this.

Going to try something different. If you have insurance through the ACA exchange, please let us know your current monthly premium and what it is quoting you for 2025. Include the number of people and your city if you are comfortable with that.

Please share!

Unpopular opinion, the Colts needed a “screw the pooch” game to not get cocky.
Steelers needed a game for the defense to believe in themselves.

Ok Braves, announce Danny Lehmann.

If I were to buy baby formula to donate to a food pantry or one of the mini libraries in our community that have been converted to a temporary pantry, what’s the most useful to purchase?

In the NY/NJ area, so I decided to dress as a local masochist for Halloween.

I'm told that if this game goes to 13 innings, it'll be Sandy Koufax for the Dodgers and Justin Bieber for the Blue Jays.

Kenny Moore II can't take credit for his handwashing sack dance on Sunday.

By now you know, he got it from kids visiting the Colts as part of the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital homecoming event.

It's the kind of thing Moore is always doing in Indy.

You'll love why Colts CB Kenny Moore celebrated a sack by pretending to wash his hands
Kenny Moore learned the celebration from kids at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. 'You never know how far stuff like that goes,' he said

Updated with my 2025 Braves bobbleheads. I’m sure I’ll rearrange it some. It feels out of balance, and I’m not happy with how low Blooper is on the shelves.

Thunder beat the Pacers 141-135 in double overtime. By the end, the Pacers were without Haliburton, McConnell, Nembhard, Nesmith, and Mathurin but battled all night. They ran out of bodies. They're 0-1 despite an impressive effort.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 55 points on just 15 made shots. 23 free thorws. He's just the second player in NBA history to score 55+ with 15 or fewer made field goals (Kobe Braynt on March 28, 2003: 15 FGs and 16 FTs)

The only way this country is going to work is if we all start caring about each other. Not just about ourselves.

Besides, when our fellow citizens get screwed, regardless which “group” they belong to, it’s only a matter of time before it ricochets and hits us. It’s guaranteed.
