The problem isn't the drivers. It's a leadership culture that treats them as short-term fixes to long-term issues. You can't buy unity. You can't buy culture. You have to build it.

If Elkann truly wants teamwork, it has to start at the top.

They keep hiring world champions with the same result... Alonso, Vettel. Both champions, both burned out by the same leadership cycle. Even Räikkönen in his 2nd tour of duty for the Scuderia to a certain degree.

Bottom line:
As long as Norris finishes right behind Piastri whenever Piastri wins, Norris is champion.

If Piastri doesn’t win, the gap Norris can afford increases. He can finish a few places behind and still take the title.

If Piastri wins 2 races + the sprint, and finishes 2nd in the last race, while Norris finishes 2nd in those same races, Piastri needs Norris P6 in the finale to take it by 1 point.

If Piastri wins all 3 races + the sprint, and Norris finishes 2nd twice, 2nd in the sprint, and 3rd in the last race, Piastri wins by 1 point.

Piastri: 8.0 points per weekend
Verstappen: 16.3 points per weekend
Russell: 38.0 points per weekend

With three weekends left, one of which is a sprint, there is a theoretical average of 27.7 points available per weekend for the rest of the season.

And if you're wondering where Ferrari and Sauber are, Ferrari doesn't operate as an independent company, so the financial statements are for all of Ferrari as a whole, and Sauber, being a privately owned company based in Switzerland, is not required to make the statements public.
