I don’t think so

Not hiding. It just makes every casual/passing interaction so much easier. Great story about how it started. I don’t lie to people I have ongoing relationships with. Have been an AUS citizen since 2006. When you hold multiple passports, you realise you do not belong to a country, but to the world.

I was going to write a book about this topic and my experiences living overseas as an American expat for half my life. Seems like there might be an audience now.

I have been an American living in Australia for 25 years and I almost always say I’m Canadian when someone asks, “Are you American or Canadian?”. Grew up in Michigan so I don’t need to tweak the accent too much.

What would that be?
