Sans serif fonts are easier to read for people with some disabilities, so “DEI”. I know people are focused on how stupid this is, but why just be stupid when they can also be cruel!

As bad as I thought this would be, it was even worse when I read the article and saw they’re targeting it because calibri is easier to read for people with certain disabilities.

Not this, but related. I saw a job ad for a company that creates AI “friends” targeted at the elderly including those suffering from dementia. So unethical to create chatbots for people least likely to understand what they’re interacting with.

Not great when a contractor pulls out an old appliance, sees the wiring behind it and says “Huh… I’ve never seen THAT before.” 😮
