This feels a bit like love bombing. Showing a tiny bit of compassion before doubling down on abuse.

Whether he wrote this or one of his lackies did, it doesn't matter. What's coming next?

I'm sure that his opinion has nothing to do with TS being outside the age range of his typical prey.

His lawyers had a little chat with him about liability I guess

That he's going along with it shows that he knows the BS he spews is dangerous.

Many are saying that he doesn't want to fix anything, but they forget that 'fix' has more than 1 meaning

They're right in that he doesn't want to fix (mend) the system to make it better for everyone because he wants to fix (arrange) it in a way that makes it better for him

It's more important than ever to fact check these days.

This number is for trans peer support, and using it takes resources away from people they're intended for!

Gotta make room for the dissidents somewhere.

Do approval ratings matter when democracy has left the chat?

Citizens of countries led by dictatorships don't get a fair vote.

Isn't the game 2 truths and a lie, not 3 lies and a truth?

At this point, WH social media is just rage bait.

Probably did wonders for engagement, though.

I've tried to quit FB before. This, also, isn't the first time I've quit something cold turkey, but it may be the hardest.

So hello, Bluesky. Any advice? And wish me luck!

I'm not trying to escape social media. That would be completely isolating. I think I need to focus my attention into other apps and IRL

I'll just keep in mind all those people in my life who haven't used FB as a crutch

FB is not a safe place for me anymore, but I've heard good things about Bluesky.

So, for now, I'm allowing that toxicity to work for me. When I see a post disparaging women, spewing racism or homophobia, or I feel myself drawn toward engagement in trash fires, I'll step away. I'll come here

But it's just so toxic!

Every -ism and phobia has a home there, too. It's so pervasive that I find myself more angry than not.

While FB has helped me find community and belonging so many times, it has also pushed me away from those same things outside of the online sphere

Because there are aspects of FB I like:

- The ability to remain private, anon, unseen
- Sharing with and knowing certain users for specific reasons in dedicated groups
- Integration with IG and threads
- An easy ND coping mechanism
- There's familiarity and a 'home'
- Long format text
