Thanksgiving has been about family, friends, cleaning, coding, and coding + writing feedback. I teach multilingual jhs students. They write in Slides so that their classmates can inspire them while I give real time feedback. I then use code I wrote plus ChatGPT to give detailed feedback. #EduSky

Rainy days are the best days to code. This Thanksgiving break will be spent updating the SlidesCreate add-on. When I feel lost, I will remember everything @claycodes.bsky.social taught me and ask AI questions. Challenges inspire me. #EduSky

Completing ELL evalutions is never fun, but I coded student writing portfolios with a dashboard. The writing was scored by AI and confirmed by me. I feel better prepared to complete 108 forms (due Friday because I procrastinate; I would rather code or give writing feedback ). #edusky

My students create our yearbook in Google Slides, print them, and sell them for $15. This week, we will use AI image generation to brainstorm 2-page layouts that we will recreate. Here is an example. I kinda like it. #EduSky Creating is fun!

Here are a few examples from our first film festival. The student directors range from Newcomers to Ready to Exit. We started a second festival Wednesday, which is our creative day. They were disappointed Thursday when we did a Numbers Mania. A festival includes popcorn and their choice treats.

I woke up inspired to create AI generated image examples of color themes for our Google Slides yearbook because my students are selecting our color theme today. View the updated blog post with ChatGPT images at slidesyearbook.com/the-art-of-c... #edusky

When I share student work, I can't help but smile. Their creativity inspires me to code more solutions. Now teachers are asking to use the code I wrote that makes a template with each student's name. So, I am drafting a new blog post with videos and a link to the code. Stay tuned. #EduSky

We had an AMAZING class today!! My students learned how to write a prompt in Canva to generate an image. The better description they wrote, the better the image. Then, they inserted their prompt & image into @alicekeeler.com's Roster to Slides. Next week, it's an EduProtocols's 8 pARTS time #EduSky

I'm preparing for 🎨Creative Wednesday when ALL of my jhs periods STOP for art OR coding. Today ALL six classes voted for Shapegrams. I used a code I wrote called "Class Slide Deck" to create a whole class slide deck for each period, which were created in seconds. @tonyvincent.bsky.social #EduSky

After returning from the Google Champions Symposium, my heart said to start a coding club. So, I did.

We started in Google Slides because it is my fav and then jumped to Scratch. My student learned what a variable was AND shared the animation she created last year.

I like this. #EduSky

I didn't give them much time because I shared videos of the #GoogleChampions Symposium. But, let me find some creative examples.

To say that I am excited is an understatement. My time with #GoogleChampions, especially my incredible team with @tarahtesmer.bsky.social @krynicad.bsky.social @pertuz.co and more, lifted my soul. I shared videos with my junior high school students all day. Thank you, everyone #EduSky.

@tonyvincent.bsky.social My students thank you for the stickers and have a new request. Can you remove the background of the image? Students like to add backgrounds. #EduSky

Today is Wednesday, so my students stop EVERYTHING and either code or do a Shapegram because creativity is CRUCIAL. This week @tonyvincent.bsky.social made a Zipper @shapegrams.bsky.social after my students requested one in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. #EduSky
