I witnessed the same thing when Portland had unrest a few years ago. We were staying in a neighborhood near downtown, eating, shopping, and having fun. There were protests on a few downtown blocks. Certain media portrayed it as the entire city at war. Disinformation may be the death of our country.

But it is! They are masters at messaging. They can take any weak point and turn it into a positive that the MAGA voters fully believe. Dems are not good at that at all. It is a big problem.

I know. It really is awful. We've been fighting an extreme right group in our tiny town for several years now. I live in a red town in a blue state. We are slowly seeing some voters start to be appalled by their behavior, but only after they won public office and made stupid decisions that hurt us.

I kind of understand backing away a little. Half of American voters elected him. This is what they wanted. I HATE what's happening and that people will start suffering. But how else will the folks that voted for him wake up and vote differently? Warning people about Trump DID NOT WORK.

I do it because I touch the peeled potato with the same hand that holds it while I peel. It eliminates the dirt transfer from peel to unpeeled potato. Now, some of the store-bought potatoes are so clean that there's no need to wash before peeling! Nuanced answer. 😂
