I was an Air Force musician and several of my husband's co-workers participated in this. I fear this well meant article about the orange menaces cruelty, but it will once again put a target on closing yet more of our military bands that are already struggling to cover the US, Europe, and Asia.

Voting didn't work and AZ townhalls are all with aids in all conservative towns. I'm a veteran and just sit here thinking, what can I do besides leave messages to representatives that go nowhere? If it comes down to a civil war, I could fight but prefer to move to some other country that sucks less

The family in my town was run out in 1987, so that fits our Midwestern time line, which is lagging 50 yrs. After the 2024 election, someone coated most of the urban areas in IN with KKK fliers. With no POC, they burned crosses by my white catholic church until 82. The priest used to lock us inside.

What year was that? Can you imagine the courage it took to walk in that pharmacist's shoes? My mother was racist and afraid of any black person she saw. When my dad took me to Indianapolis to meet an old black high school friend of his so I would not be like my mother and afraid, she exploded. 🤭

Gosh, are you from Indiana too? My town ran a brave black family of a black surgeon with 4 kids that were in college prep classes out of town. 4 months later the KKK drove them out of town. The school has no POC still but think they're all diverse and welcoming, and better than all the rest. 😭

I grew up in an all white conservative school and was a teacher at a private all white Christian private school. Zero exposure to ethnicities beyond a blurb in a biased history book and now banned books= racism 100%. These schools most of all need to teach diversity and eliminate that fear of POC. 🥺
