I would occasionally find myself writing in a tone not entirely unlike that in college, and it was always a sure fire indicator that I absolutely did not give a shit about the subject matter.

No exaggeration when I say Barry is one of my musical heroes. Shoulda Zenith is one of the few records I recommend to anyone with even remotely adventurous taste

It was pretty devastating initially to see all the pogo-ing (I was awful at it in HK) but I took some deep breaths and I’m maybe getting the hang of it!

Such a great one—picked up a new copy from Perpetual Books in Chicago (my first visit—amazing new store!) that hadn’t even made it onto the floor yet and tore through it when I got home 🙏

Another fun fact: my first tattoo is the number 43 on my neck, because I couldn’t think of a good enough way to symbolize “Where Will I Be?” in tattooable form, lol

Came here to say this, too. Also, my obsessive cross-platform signature move (including “43” in my handle) is because of “Page 43,” which Crosby referred to as kind of an answer song to the existential question song of “Where Will I Be?” ✨

I have an older coworker who was initially very taken in by aspects of it, but several of us have discussed the devastating effects of it often enough that even he has now made it a goal to write an info sheet for patrons on avoiding misinformation and other pitfalls.

Huge AI hater here. I kind of won’t shut up about it at work (still at a public library,) and keep bringing up concerns about it (ethically, environmentally, etc) at meetings in hopes of, at the very least, some “cautionary” policy getting put into place
