I condemn the violent attack on MK Ayman Odeh today. No one who stands up for what is right should face violence. As a fellow Parliamentarian and defender of democracy and human rights, MK Odeh deserves our support and solidarity. I stand with him, and all those who stand up for peace.

While the Prime Minister is cozying up to human rights abusers and tyrants, he is rejecting meaningful consultation with workers, environmental groups and with Indigenous nations.
Our path to a stronger economy and a better future cannot bypass human rights in Canada or abroad.
