And actually, one of them is in my profile's banner pic, along with the Women's FA Cup trophy 🏆 ahead of our QF against Charlton Athletic (who went on to win that season).
Here's another from the 2005 FA Women's Awards, where we picked up the Fair Play Award. We ALL look a lot younger! 😆

As ever, it was an absolute honour to be part of the Barclays WSL Hall of Fame Selection Panel. Congratulations to 2024's inductees: Alex Scott MBE, Gilly Flaherty, Rebecca Welch and Steph Houghton MBE. Four women who've made outstanding contributions to the women's game both on and off the field.

Signed up to @thegreenrunners.bsky.social today. Been faffing about it for months 🙄 Didn’t think I was worthy enough or what my pledge would be. I know. 😵‍💫 Farking stupid. Anyway, it feels good. 👍🏻 I’ll share more later. All timely too ‘cos my fave trainers need repatching. #pairups #fingersnottoes

Facey B just flagged that it's the anniversary of having my face reflected on a shiny award while an Olympic Gold Medalist did a pirate impression at an emerging England #Lionesses star. 😁

Have tweaked my back, in a typically middle-aged fashion. Was unsure on the sense of heading out for a a hilly 10k headtorch run with a pal. It was jeffing glorious up here in Upper Weardale. Calm, cool, quiet and fabulous company. My ❤️ is happy!

I started playing for Sunderland as a 14/15yr old in 89/90. There'd been no teams to play for before that, aside from a handful of friendlies my primary school let me play in, when I was 11. I just had to watch my mates play matches before we could have a kick about again. My story is so common.

A spot of nostalgia... I started at On the Ball women's footie mag in 1998. As well as editing OtB I was also a columnist for The Times newspaper (Fri + Mon) and provided weekly round-ups, fixtures, results & tables for Teletext for a few yrs too.

Some UK sunrises 🌅 that have filled me with joy in recent years.
Seems fitting to kick off this new, more positive era. Good morning & 👋🏻 to all good souls on BlueSky. 🥰
