Very excited to introduce the newest genus of wild sunflowers, a tiny desert annual covered in dense wool and heads with just two small ray florets.

UARK is bustling today! Volunteers @dgwalt.bsky.social @auxarcwildflowers.bsky.social @staymoreark.bsky.social and grad student @arisaemaguy.bsky.social mounted plants and worked on insect mgmt, while local artist (and recent UA grad) Riley Moore came in to draw grasses.
