Library lovers, we need your help. A recent executive order calls for the elimination of IMLS, the only federal agency that funds libraries nationwide. Without IMLS, many of the resources and programs we love could be at risk.

A 1923 cartoon by Winsor McCay that turned up yesterday in the San Francisco Academy of Comic Art Collection. Thanks to the many generous donors who gave to our crowdfunding campaign, the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum continues to organize, rehouse and catalog the massive collection.
