these songs are micro-portals for me that lead into the memory chamber of each of the inspiring works. do you have a favorite museum, painting, story, photograph, something burned into your brain that inspires you over and over again?

one of the things I miss most about living in New York is being able to hop a train to any of the zillion museums in the five boroughs. art, science, film and television, video games, music… portals leading deep into these realms were all a quick ride away.

the record is made up of 11 songs, each inspired by a different NYC museum exhibit, each written and recorded within a week’s time (8 in 2012 and 3 in 2014).
