Remembering James King of the Artists Rifles. My great great great uncle who was an organist in a church before signing up for WW1. Killed in action in 1917 aged 22, his body was never recovered but he is commemorated at Tyne Cot memorial in Belgium.

Really interested in the Fedora story shared by Rosalyn Metz at #iPRES2025. I knew bits of it (the challenge of migrating from version 3 to 4) but haven't heard it in full before. Lots of useful lessons to learn from this around the importance of community over technology.

Last night I celebrated the start of #iPRES2025 with a gig by the amazing Peatbog Faeries - who had a loose connection with the iPRES conference in Glasgow in 2022! Amazing musicians. My ears are still ringing!

Today our @dpc-chat.digipres.club.ap.brid.gy Reading Club has been all about born digital acquisition policies. Lots of new (to reading club) attendees today and a great conversation was had, touching on resourcing, AI, environmental issues, mental health and everything in between!
