My gratitude today is that Hascy spotted this huge bird down the street on a very cool perch 40 feet in the air eating...something furry. I love living in the ecotone between riparian and montane shrubland that is our neighborhood.

I am also grateful for Girl Scout Cookies!

Today my gratitude is for the people I get to work with. I am incredibly blessed to be in a very unique place, doing a unique job, with the most amazing people. There is not a single person in our building who I would exchange. They bring out the best in me and I just feel so lucky to do this work!

Today was a super dysregulated day. I tried to pinpoint why the energy was just so bonkers I could not blame it on the full moon or the awful weather. Then, I found out that David Lunch died today. It all made sense.

The past 2 weeks have convinced me that kids have no idea how complex they are; my teacher's brain is on fire with thoughts about all their idiosyncratic strangeness. My adult heart is on fire with hope that they will all spend the next 3 weeks in safe spaces, and my inner psychologist won't quiet.
