In other states, legislatures included a trigger law that said “if Congress cuts the Medicaid budget, we get to take Medicaid away from poor adults”
The voter backed proposition didn’t say that… so if Congress cuts Medicaid, poor adults don’t automatically lose their health care.

The legislatures / governors of South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Missouri (very red states) didn’t want to expand Medicaid to include poor, non-disabled adults.
