Well, November has been rather grey so far, but the iris seeds are always good for a splash of brightness at this time.
Look for colour and you will find it.

Current status of knitting project - the dreaded weaving in of ends before assembly. Might need a second coffee.

Forever ago my husband printed off a fab @happytoast.bsky.social colouring sheet for me. I’ve just got round to doing a bird a day and it’s amazing how just a couple of minutes of zone out helps with the sometimes overwhelm. Thank you Happy Toast! Only two left.

The air is coated in the mellifluous melting trickle of waterfall song from robin. It rings out through blue skies & from green to green. A chorus rabble of squeals, clicks, whistles & bubbling brings background jazz beats from the starlings that line the roof & aerials.

Blue sky is stippled with white clouds and a susurration emanates from the trees as a wind turns up its pace, on and off, rattling silver moons of honesty below and above blowing the bubbling talk from goldfinch as they head home to roost. #naturewriting #NatureWriting

Pears from my mum’s tree poached in cinnamon and maple syrup with buffalo yoghurt - just the treat I needed. Isn’t food goooood :)

The day started with brain draining change of chemo research and later turned to autumn crafts with some of the best humans - so ending the day on a win, hoorah!

Must be some good insect eating out today: about 30 house martins are zipping overhead feeding in the blue. Totally impossible to photograph so here is a dreadful pic of one, flashing it’s white belly up to the sun as it turns tricks in the sky.

Two grey and white feathers with fluffy down at their base, together look like fallen angels wings and I wonder if this angel now walks among us or, have new wings grown and flown them on high.
