Ok, this excerpt from a well-intentioned Huffpo article is a perfect example of the subtle ways media framing downplays this abominable time. Weismann is a “legal expert” (pundit connotes bias), and they could have written “advocate for rule of law” instead of “notable critic”. These are CHOICES.

Imagine for a moment how badly the media and the Republican Party would be stroking out if the stock market tanked by 6,000 points in the first 3 months (or at any time, really) of a Democratic presidency.

This illustrates everything wrong with media framing, although to be fair, it also shows everything wrong with today’s MAGA GOP. Dems expected to vote for shitty GOP bills, but GOP isn’t expected to provide anything at all that Dems request. And if it fails it’s Dems fault somehow? Makes no sense.
