Yup--and I'm well aware there are those who are more likely to be targeted by this admin, and who are currently less safe, making a different choice. I don't question or judge anyone's reasons for leaving. Just saying that it's nice to hear someone who likely has the means to leave, not doing so.

As someone about your age who doesn't have the notability or, probably, the money to get residency elsewhere, it's really depressing to see people with more power and more platform than most of us have leaving, instead of sticking around to fight with us. I for one appreciate that you're staying.

I hadn't looked at any news yet when I read this and I don't know whether to be proud or depressed that I was able to successfully guess what it was about.

Not the person you asked and not a radiologist, but based on my experience and conversations with radiologists: ultrasound can pick up things mammogram can’t, and doesn’t squish you, but can also result in false positives and can’t see certain things mammogram can. It can supplement but not replace.

I’m in PA and the CVS website won’t even let you try to schedule a vaccine *with* a doctor’s prescription right now. I wasn’t planning to get mine until October-ish so I’ll wait and hope the legislature/governor fix this mess. Otherwise I guess Ohio it is. 🤷♀️

There are a few “curl specialists” in Pittsburgh and I used to go to one who honestly did a great job but it was just SO expensive compared to even an upscale regular salon that I couldn’t justify the expense anymore. Now I just cut it myself and hope for the best.

Thank you. It was a long time ago and I only learned the details after I was an adult (and saw one of the doctor’s letters about her supposed attention-seeking). I’ve since had my own encounters with doctors who dismissed my symptoms, and my grandmother’s experience taught me not to give up.

My grandmother spent years telling doctors about symptoms they brushed off as “bored lady looking for attention (and she’s kind of a bitch).” Eventually the symptoms got bad enough that they took her seriously and found the brain tumor causing them. Benign but had grown too large to operate. 🫠

In 2005-ish I made the decision to remove the central air thingie (condenser? compressor?) bc it was in the way for an addition I was putting on the house and I literally NEVER used it. I don’t live in that house anymore and had to install central air in my current home because ugh. (Also in Pgh.)
