I remember hearing people saying, and sounding impressed, that one of my day camp counselors went to "Woodstock." I had no idea what that meant. I was going on 11.
I had a similar experience in first grade, when some of the kids talked about "the Beeetles." Not a clue.

He yelled at me once. When I calmed down, I told him it was not acceptable behavior. A couple of weeks later, he did it again. I'm sure he didn't remember what I told him. He loses control. I am terrified when a big man yells at me - I've quit jobs over yelling bosses.
So yes, I need to leave.

When I say I don't feel entirely safe, I mean two things: this house is falling apart and he has no intention of taking care of it. He never has taken care of it. Hole in the roof and one in the floor.
Also, I'm seeing frustration about what he can't remember turn to anger.

It's only been a day that he's back here full-time, but my codependency has kicked in like a motherfucker. Between his condition and his being freshly dumped, I want to take care of him.
So yeah, I'm trying to be helpful to him for now.

He does not know why she broke up with him. But he brought his guitar and banjo home, so it's serious. I posted just a couple of days ago that I had made the decision to move out because I don't feel entirely safe here any more.
