all I care about is sylvanian family drama. still a selkie looking for her coat.
Something quite funny about people setting off industrial strength fireworks in their 12 square foot back gardens. Same energy as the people that buy SUVs to drive 30mph about the city.

saw a take a few weeks ago that argued the popularity of greyhound adoption in the southside of Glasgow is an example of the gentrification of Scotland’s working class culture and every time I have a glass of wine I think about it

First day back at work, my bank decided to freeze my account and the dog poo bag split in my hand just too far away from home to justify going back. Happy Monday.

Wonderful news this week that New Zealand is ending greyhound racing! 🐾

Scotland is now an international outlier, allowing racing to continue while the death rate of dogs rises.

Scottish Parliament must back my Bill in 2025 and phase out greyhound racing for good.
Scotland must follow New Zealand in ending greyhound racing

My pet peeve is when folk say that they’re “all booked up” when you’re trying to arrange catch-ups like they’re a consultant. Just say you have plans like a normal human.

"Immigration is a failure" - Keir Starmer.

Nevermind the idea we ought to celebrate our country being a destination for so many to make their new homes alongside us.

All this does is empower the right. It turns the Labour Party into a right-wing radicalisation pipeline.
BREAKING:

“Policies were reformed deliberately to liberalise immigration. Brexit was used for that purpose, to turn Britain into a one nation experiment in open borders”

Awful watching good people being made redundant right before Christmas. And then having to go through your redundancy in full public view. Solidarity with friends and former colleagues.

I don’t want to listen to ideas. I want to use this site like I would a therapist and bring social media back to its core purpose; unhinged, incoherent strings of consciousness that make your followers uncomfortable.
I find the number of people saying they want to block her as a response to this genuinely baffling. You don't need to like her. She's the leader of the opposition. Even if you're absolutely convinced she's wrong about everything, why not listen to ideas you disagree with?

I love, as a learner driver going at 20mph, driving past other learner drivers also going at 20mph, and waving at each other as we cross. It’s the closest I’ve felt to community in a long time.

When any other business announces redundancies just before Christmas people would be sympathetic - even outraged on behalf of the workers.
Disappointed seeing politicians make cheap jibes when people face losing their jobs.
SNP staff to be made redundant the week before Christmas

Angry source: "Is this who John Swinney is?"

Supportive MSP: "There is an opportunity here to get rid of those responsible for recent failures"

Stephen Flynn: the SNP’s Macbeth, a man of grasping ambition, prepared to trample over anyone on his way to the top. These are ugly characteristics which render him unfit for power or leadership
