The last of the gingerbread people to be gifted this year. Never to old for a gingerbread person!

I came across this in an exhibition at the Museum of Fashion & Textiles in London. Definitely a thing!

The PM made no comment. A spokesperson stated it was a matter for the police. Read beyond the headline.

I had minor eye surgery 2 weeks ago & this week I have made 3 cushion covers for DD1 & this cushion kit I have had for 2 or 3 years. Such a joy to get back to my sewing machine again! So many projects stacked up over the last few months.

We spent a gentle afternoon at #kelmscottmanor the home to William Morris & family. The buildings date from 1600s with later additions. You may not agree with his brand of socialism but the man had vision! Some of his fabric designs, embroidery, paintings, books on display. Pretty gardens.

I spent the afternoon at an Uzbekistan food & culture weekend in Potters Field in London. The food was interesting but the textiles are amazing!

It is on tomorrow too & it’s worth a look if you are in London.

I spent a very moving afternoon in the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern looking at the HIV AIDS quilts / banners. I was struck by some names covered up as parents still would not allow them to be shown. So many babies & so many men (mainly) who had their lives cut short in their 30s.

When my lovely MIL died 2 years ago, she left her body to medical science. A fierce supporter of the NHS, she felt it the last thing she could do. Yesterday we had a beautiful ceremony to honour her & 76 others who donated their bodies. Margaret we are proud of you & we think of you daily.

The view of Lochaber from our window having completed the #WestHighlandWay.
Such a great week - the camaraderie along the way, the stunning views (although Rannoch Moor on a rainy day is a bit desolate!). Recommend Macs Adventure www.macsadventure.com for their great organisation & luggage carrying.

The joy of tea & cake after a 12 mile walk! And we saw a newborn lamb, only minutes old, licked clean by the ewe & gently urged to its feet for its first milk.

Felt like summer on Brighton beach yesterday. So sunny, swimmers & windsurfers, music, ice creams, lots of white flesh hoping to get an early tan, teenagers with that “end of term” feeling. Such a lovely day!

A wonderful 15 ish mile walk along the North Downs Way today. Despite a cool wind in places the day was sunny & just great to be out. So many cowslips! Spotted the teddy bears having a picnic.
