That pink is 🧑‍🍳 💋. I never knit my socks together, I always get confused when it gets to turning the heel and/or wind up knitting them together. But it makes so much sense for making sure they are the same!

The triangle is just highlighting how a gusset usually works - in this case you m1p between the halves of the cable leading to a purl triangle between knit ribs that makes it pop!

Heel turning is never totally brainless so you do need to pay some attention there. But if you know how to cable this is real easy, 2x2 crossed the same direction every 6 rows (or how you choose to adjust. Maybe not brainless if it’s your first sock project but clearly written and easy to follow.
