I so wanted to include this aspect of how the project came about in the piece, but there was just too much to say about the study (and background) that I ran out of space!

I love telling my American friends about the first time I voted in Canada. I got a 3 x 5 slip of paper with five names on it, I checked a box, put the voting slip in a cardboard box through a hole cut out at the top.

Curious what piece specifically you are referring to? I know my colleagues at Nature Reviews Immunology starting publishing a 'preprint watch' column during the pandemic as a way to surface potentially important COVID research (editorial here: www.nature.com/articles/s41...)
