The ACLU and PFLAG have filed a lawsuit, and others have as well.
In the meantime, any Michigander who is denied gender-affirming care needs to report it. The ACLU will intervene on your behalf. (7/9)

We were also reminded last night that trans women have always been at the forefront in fighting for LGBTQ+ civil rights, all the way back to the Stonewall riots in 1969 and before. The LGBTQ+ community is rallying around our most vulnerable members. (6/9)

Whatever we have already been doing to support and provide gender-affirming care in Michigan can and must continue. The executive branch is counting on paralyzing us through fear and intimidation. (5/9)

The executive orders and the threatening letters are poorly written by people who have no training in gender-affirming care, blustering on about "gender ideology" (whatever that means) while giving providers no specific direction or actionable steps. (4/9)

Providers who have already received federal grants cannot have that funding taken away. The president does not control the purse strings; Congress does. (3/9)

By opposing this bill, we send a powerful message that discrimination has no place in our laws or values.
