On Saturday, Danza del Carrizo performed a powerful blend of Native, Mexican, and American traditions. Rooted in the Matachines dance of Ciudad Juárez, it symbolizes the battle between good and evil. Their bamboo-adorned attire from our sanctuary honors faith, culture, and resilience.

We’re thrilled to share the incredible upgrades happening at the sanctuary.

We’re aiming to open this section to the public next month, and we can’t wait for you all to experience it. Stay tuned!

Great news! We got the all clear to release the Black-crowned Night Heron we rescued on Saturday back to Floyd Lamb Park today.

A huge thank you to Dr. Read and team at Sunridge Animal Hospital for their great care!

Thanks to everyone who helped give this wild bird a second chance at freedom! 🕊️💙
