Paused just long enough that Texas will have no choice but to use the new map, per the primary filing deadlines. I think that’s just a few weeks ago. Convenient, isn’t it.

Can’t wait for the show tonight!

Last year I traveled to Vilnius with a colleague for a conference and she was so sick I took her to a hospital. They ran all sorts of tests, gave her multiple IVs, put her in a private room and brought ME coffee. The whole bill was like $100. We were gobsmacked. It was so civilized!

Whether he orchestrated this or not (I tend to think so), he’s the leader so it’s his fault. That’s how leadership works.

We can also ignore all fundraising requests from all D Senators (all of them) until they oust Schumer from leadership. That is certainly my plan.

So was I! Because it’s true!

Indeed is, indeed, my all time go to. “In fact” a distant second.

It seems to now be the GOP strategy to keep the shutdown going so they can blame Democrats for the horrific damage Trump has done to the economy. I actually have hope most people will see through that.

Steve Vladeck wrote up a post explaining why he thinks KBJ did it. It’s worth a read.

Could not agree more. Helping people succeed is essential to a functioning, healthy, civil society and a strong economy - which is important to every single one of us. So, in addition to being the morally correct choice, it is also the strategic one.

If one of the lawsuit participants talked about the allegations of a complaint, that is protected by the litigation privilege. There is a different privilege for the media provided the reporting is accurate. But the real problem for Mace is that this is probably all true and hence not defamatory.

I knew he was smart.

We are pretty happy over here today!!

Every voter in my household voted YES on Prop 50 (by mail, weeks ago) and we are cheering you on from CA! You would have our vote if we were New Yorkers!

I can’t stand any of the NA wines - way too much sugar - but I like the Kin Euphorics drinks (pricey though) but my main NA go to is Kombucha. I love the tart ones especially ginger.

Oh 100 percent. My 20 year old son was home for the summer and talking about how he thinks Mamdani is the best one out there, the type of leader he is really excited about (and my son is not particularly political).

Beautiful. My son goes to college there and he tells me about how nice the sunsets are there.

The people who are stupid enough to believe the disinformation spewed by the GOP. And the oligarchs. Remember when they called Democrats liars when we warned the GOP was coming for their healthcare?

Oh thank god

I have referred to my mom’s first cousin and her husband as Aunt and Uncle my whole life. It’s a sign of respect!

Hell yes it’s time. Plus - no taxation without representation!
October 28, 2025 at 1:25 AM
I binged it. It’s sooooo good.

I did indeed have my sign made professionally in a local print shop. And it was fabulous. And kind of expensive, actually. Worth every penny.

All people of voting age in my household voted Yes on 50 in California, and the organizers at the rally I attended yesterday were asking for volunteers to help canvas for it (and volunteers to help monitor ICE). Getting people to the polls might be one of the biggest impacts of these rallies.
