I didn't realize that demonstrations in small towns could inspie so much hope. Standing on a sidewalk at a large rural/suburban intersection and hearing honks of support from passing cars added unexpected joy to the seriousness of the cause. The 50501 model for protest is inspired.

Thin trees

I used to hide from passing cars

Behind big trees

I was small

And they hid me well

But today we are bigger

We hide behind thin trees

Thinking that they will protect us
