We left Amed via the coast road so we could see the easternmost point of the island. A bit of an adventure as the "road", a series of potholes, winds up and down mountains and through some villages that seem to have been left behind by the tourist boom. Stunningly beautiful though.

If you feel the urge to come to my island home, can I suggest you leave Kuta/Legian/Seminyak/Canggu and head north to Amed. Great scuba and snorkeling, plus laid-back vibes and tasty seafood. The scenery...🤯

We're having a few days in northern Bali, which we've not visited in a good long while. Had 4 days in Lovina which seems like god's waiting room, ngl. We're 61 and were the youngest by decades 😆

I've been having to hotspot my phone the past few days because my internet shat itself. Finally got them to send some to replace the faulty modem and, after assuring me I didn't need to hold the ladder on our slippery tiles, this was my ensuite door. He's ok, but his pants may need replacing

Just to show the universe is really kicking my arse, after losing Timmy on Thursday, his brother, my big feisty sooky la la Milo, last night had a series of seizures and passed away as well. I can't stop crying. My heart is broken 💔😭😭😭
