Internationalist EU liberal citizen. If I was American I'd vote Democrat. Truth matters. Integrity endures. I only respond to DMs from friends I've known for a while.
‪@alastaircampbell2.bsky.social‬ talks of Farage's YouTube viewership & that of @therestpolitics.bsky.social

Farage is the biggest loser despite being amplified by right wing media & the BBC. IMO it shows that a lot of people don't tap into that crap & see Farage for what he is. A manic ranter.

Charlamagne Tha God told Lara Trump on her show that a coup is going on; Trump's Epstein cover-up has alienated his base & given traditional Republicans a way to wrest the Party back from him.

Trump lashed out of course, but he's lost the battle. Shot himself in the foot. Again. Idiot.

I found this note my Dad wrote when he was going through difficult times. It says so much about who he was. The Bluebird of Happiness is an American song, composed in the 1930s. This version was sung in 1958, I think. It's appropriate to the times. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7ft...

A journalist tells Mark Carney she was watching his face in the Oval Office meeting & wondered what he was thinking.

0.08 Carney sticks his tongue in his cheek to stop himself laughing. Says lightheartedly, "I'm glad you couldn't tell what was going through my mind." ❤️

This amuses me no end. And reassures me that American democracy is not on its death bed. The Trump administration and the GOP are, though.

Elon Musk, the man who's so in love with himself and can be trusted to keep his word. He's been promising fully automated cars in all seriousness by 'next year' since 2015. He's at it again. Suddenly, like magic, Tesla will roll out millions. Millions.

@raskin.house.gov President Bukele & dictators/autocrats of this world have to understand that the Trump administration is not going to last forever. We're going to restore strong democracy to America. We'll remember who stood up for American democracy & who tried to drive us down towards autocracy.

It just one win after another for the US in this Administration. - if you can call it that. I guess it's the government, but all it's administering is chaos, corruption and incompetence.

Elon Musk the braggart. First he bragged that he could save $2 trillion. Then it was $1 trillion. Then it was $150 billion - which is 7.5% of his original boast.

7.5%. And that's bullshit too. God, he's pathetic.

Ouch. Elon Musk is political poison! #Wisconsin

Musk's greatest skill has become self-destruction. This photo is eerily prescient - it was at a Trump rally when he was campaigning.

I've never believed Kamala Harris lost the election. Rosie O'Donnell said it out loud recently. And there was the time Trump openly boasted about Musk campaigning hard for him in the must-win state of Pennsylvania: "He knows those vote-counting computers, and we won...Thank you Elon!"

A scared Musk begged Tesla employees not to sell their shares. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that insiders are dumping their shares because Tesla is collapsing due to him alone. But then he's not a rocket scientist, is he. Genius? I don't think so. #TeslaInDistressla

Musk is relying on his EVs made in China (backed by China's govt) to save Tesla. But Chinese companies like BYD are making better, cheaper EVs & Chinese Tesla shipments have plummeted. IMO Musk wants to use US plans for a potential war with China to bargain with the Chinese govt.

"Elon Musk is supposed to be a genius but he doesn't realise he's the fall guy... When Doge goes too far, which it will, probably into entitlements, Trump is going to need someone who wasn't confirmed by the Senate. And that's Musk... He'll be quite easy to peel off."

The fearful, haunted look of a man on the run. All the wealth in the world can't protect him from the rage directed at him that's escalating at the speed of light. It would stop if he changed his behaviour but he can't. Deeply unstable, profoundly insecure, he's on a mission to self-destruct.

Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte after the Ukraine Summit. Europe is united and committed to more defense spending and Rutte's insistence that Putin can never invade Ukraine again was unconditional.

Trump blew it. #SlavaUkraïni #LondonSummit #Ukraine️

@andrewfeinberg.com to Trump: "Can you explain how you came to believe that foreign govts pay tariffs?"

To Keir Starmer: "Did you discuss [Trump's] desire to annex Canada & has the king expressed concern over [Trump's] apparent desire to remove one of his realms from his control?"

German elections today. Nobody wants to be in partnership with the AfD & polls predict they won't get more than 20% of the vote. I hope they get less. They're disturbing to many in Germany. Govt will probably be CDU & Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...
