I saw an excellent demonstration of an assignment that asked students to pick a side in an argument and have a debate with AI. They had to turn in the transcript of the debate. They were graded on reasoning and use of class materials.

For people who want to argue with the good news, maybe they can just focus their attention on all the other bad news. Pick whatever you want from the bad news buffet!
