Progressives get steamrolled all the time in Congress. We are an outnumbered bloc, especially on matters of defense. Shouldn’t be hard.

Price of oil is high? Raise prices! Price of oil goes down…prices never drop. COVID supply chain constraints and shortages? Raise prices! COVID ebbs and supply chain improves? Prices never go down. Tarriffs? Pass that price on to the consumer. Tariffs go away? Profit margins increase…
Here’s the thing about the tariffs: there will be no “short term pain”. Only long term. Every time a company realizes they can get away with charging you extra they don’t ever lower the price again. They just gouge. Whatever price hikes there are will be here for good.
