Right?!? And what about those who choose not have to kids? I'm puzzled as to whether or not you get a free pass and can get a higher ed degree or if you are deemed not worthy of one because you can't be a mother. /S

I think 12 is giving him too much credit - my 12 year old son wouldn't even think to call someone names, especially during a crisis. Now my 15 year old is much snarkier so he would come up with one... but what it is, maybe around 4 years old where kids will say things when friends take toys away?

Even if he wants a piece of the spotlight, he could simply say that he feels bad for all the people losing their homes and how thankful he is for the responders. It's not that hard, and his base would love him.

Sadly my first thought was also how fortunate CA is that we still have the current President who will not think about withholding or delaying help. I can’t believe that’s where we are at.
