Also, if you happen to use Notepad and don't want AI enabled in it (WTF?), go to Settings -> scroll to the bottom -> turn off the AI option.
Settings page of Notepad. At the bottom of the page is a Copilot option. Turn it to off if you don't want AI in your text editor.

Missing Pharaoh today. I was reminded of his birthday (and consequently of his dead day--not one and the same, but close enough).

In other news, I now know what happens if you run over a set of Dispel Dice. (Not mine. A friend's from last night's D&D game.) The set is called Dreams of Lavender.

Now that I'm home to work, with lots of edits to do, the war for my office chair has begun. Occasionally, Mena will get it into her head that my chair is her favorite sleeping spot and she grumbles at me when I move her. And I do move her. I have work to do.

The cherry tree in my backyard is in full bloom and it is gorgeous. I just have to share.

I FREED HER! I found the tiniest screwdriver on the Husband's workbench and tried pushing it in. It didn't work. So, I decided I was just going to unscrew it... and turning it unlocked the door. (4/4)
Jennifer holds small screwdriver with a red and black handle awkwardly to show you how small the screwdriver is as compared to her fingers. This is what saved her from destroying the door to free her cat.

It's my mom's birthday today. She died just over 4 years ago. Grief is a spiky ball in the dark and it just hit me in the heart. I just read my blog post about it. I feel raw.
A wall filled with empty picture frames after my mom's death and we needed to deal with the estate. This picture is a perfect metaphor of loss to me.
