Speaking of benches, I keep seeing billboards for Banc of California. It kept bugging me, until I recalled that bank is “banque” in French, and “banc,” *par contre*, means park bench.
Bench of California? Yet again, a situation where having a liberal studies major on the team could’ve saved ya.
