This is one of my favourite pictures of sunset in Parksville a few summers ago. I still go back to it because it reminds me that this world is still filled with so much beauty - even in the midst of heavy or dark days.

Cheater focaccia using bread dough that has been stored in the fridge for a week to give it a fermented sourdough taste. Baked in a Dutch oven. Sunday funday - cooking and baking fill my cup. 🍽️

Parksville, BC beach at sunset. It is high tide and the water comes up close to the boardwalk. When the tide is low, you can walk for miles on the sandy beach, collecting sea shells and sand dollars. The water is warm in the summer.
