Was here thinking the same. I grew up in Jordan's district and often hear, "I don't like him, but..." A charismatic centrist Dem with training and presence would do better than ppl think. In 2024, even my Dem friends didn't know who was running against him.

At least in his case, he doesn't really watch the news. Maybe there needs to be more of an "on the ground effort"? Farmers LOVE to talk. Would probably get through better.

One of my best childhood friends is a soybean farmer. After the election he said he voted for Trump-- he hates his views, but "farmers vote Republican, it's just what we do." Initially it pissed me off, but in reality what's the Dem's plan for farmers and how are they getting that message through?
