The (only?) interesting thing about Twisters is that in the first movie it was corporate science vs. scrappy science and in this one it’s evil science vs. scrappy stupid stunts, which tracks well with the evolution of our country.

In high school I was listening to the Ragtime OBC album and my dad overheard the part where Henry Ford shouts “All men were born equal but the cream rises to the top!”
My dad chuckled and said “Yeah, well, so do the turds Henry.”
Been thinking about that a lot this week.

I always start my classes with questions of the day to get the students warmed up. Today I gave them quiet time to write about the following:
Reflect on someone who has had a positive impact on you.
