Happy No Kings Day. I’ll be joining my community to protest the authoritarian crisis we now face. I hope you will join your community, and if you can’t be on the streets today, show your support on social media. #nokings #nokingsday

Lancaster PA: Penn Square was great for traffic, many cars honking in support. Signs were sassy, creative, earnest, worried, angry. Strangers sharing stories, trying to make sense of what is happening, asking what more we can do going forward. I hope others had inspiring experiences today. #HandsOff

We decided to attend the protest today in Lancaster, PA, where we now reside. The crowd size was estimated at over 1,000 people, and lasted for more than two hours. At one point a woman next to me said, “I’ve been protesting here for over 45 years and I’ve never seen a crowd this size.” #HandsOff

Now that is a sight we want to see! Don’t forget to: Keep it PEACEFUL. SHARE after a protest. TELL your story. REPORT demonstration numbers.

And VETO tariffs. WE will pay higher prices, and industries won’t be coming back. I urge you to go to the nearest event. Take the kids & dogs; make a sign from cardboard. Protect our institutions. Protect our freedoms. Protect our earnings and livelihoods. Go to Indivisible (dot) org for locations.

“Power wants your body softening in your chair and your emotions dissipating on the screen. Get outside. Put your body in unfamiliar places with unfamiliar people. Make new friends and march with them.”

This cat loves to play, and somehow managed to lose 2 dozen crinkle balls. I found them all behind a cookbook shelf.

It’s another snowy afternoon in February, and a Saturday after another tumultuous week in 2025. Time to curl up with a book and recharge.

Monday needs some electric argyle energy. I may need to make more patterns from images of stage and string lights.
