I love and walk in Seattle’s Matthews beach area…not far from UW. These are some of my friends. Waiting at a safe distance from my dog. She has learned to temper her prey drive around them and they are patient with her.

No power, no school, no work in Seattle. Spent some time playing with my kid and some bubbles before heading out for a quick hit of electricity and connectivity.

Had the best time doing an accessible cooking chat today for our team’s office hours! I got to show off some of the stickers I use on appliances and we learned cool stuff from cool people about tips for neurodivergent, blind/low vision and mobility cooking!

This from suffragette Lucy Stone stuck with me. This is from 1855. It took white women another 25 years to vote & another 110 years for the Voting Rights Act to enshrine voting for “minorities.” We’ve been denied rights before & came through to brighter days with the hard work of unsung heroes.
