THIS. This is what I have been saying. Why are our strategists not thinking long-term? We don't need to adopt the right's tendency toward lies and mis/disinformation, but we could learn something from them about strategy and tactics.

This is something the Republicans have done well that the Democrats have not: slowly and incrementally working with a goal in mind like the R's did to gerrymander or take control of the SCOTUS. The D's seem to think they are always just one email or campaign ad away from total victory. They are not.
