Now, I feel this is under attack with the abuse of the term “DEI”. I cherish diversity, welcome equity, and support inclusion. Without it we will indeed go backwards. I took many photos and videos of my visit to DC, but today I share this snippet.

It was not lost on me that it was also Black History Month. While a painful look back on the egregious treatment of people of color in this country, it is necessary so we don’t forget. It is necessary so we can process these heinous acts and heal. It’s necessary so we don’t go backwards, ever.

Beyoncé and Lady Gaga were treated with respect because the administrations they were celebrating appreciated them and didn’t view them as a servant. It’s these situations that expose the really scary aspect of now entering the Oligarchy phase of our government.

I use Libby frequently. However many of my favorite indie authors use KU as a primary revenue source so I’m not leaving them. I read the book on KU and then if I loved it I buy it as an ebook so they get paid twice. Several of my favs aren’t on Libby because they aren’t published traditionally.
