Designer. Cook. Theater goer. Living with long covid. Aspiring writer, mostly about trauma and healing. I dream of hope, permission, and being bicoastal.
I was on line for the women’s bathroom at a downtown theater, directly behind Annette Benning. And we were waiting waiting waiting, with of course no line for the men’s. So we started hatching a half assed plot to takeover the men’s. It was very charming!

This would save me so much time doing the math… genius idea! The $600k is about $20M in today’s dollars. 🤯

It only ever sucks to hear shit like this. Even if you know it’s them. Even if you know it’s ableism. It still feels horrible and I’m so sorry for this. I get “call me when you feel better” so often and then they disappear. In my head I’m yelling after them, “I’m never getting betterrrrrrr…” Sigh.

Conservative’s boycott of Target made them hide Pride products and eventually drop their DEI. The progressive boycott has further hurt their bottom line and Costco is thriving as a result. It’s understood that there are people who can’t afford to participate. Doesn’t make the whole thing useless.

It’s really weird and kind of terrifying living here and watching so many people just keep norm-ing it up. Like nothing’s happening, there’s nothing they can do, so might as well go to brunch. No one cares about much of anything much less anyone.

I loved Silo. She’s fantastic and the world building is superb. They created so many paths to go down and potential developments to explore, both going forward and flashing back. Can’t wait to see season 2. I could not get into Foundation and haven’t tried Severance yet.

“…watching the world ignore the disaster you live inside” is the most accurate thing I’ve read about long covid in a long time. Nearing five years myself, April 2020.

And that the LA mayor’s office literally reached out to MaskBlocLA for help. An amazing testament to community care and organizing, and a gross failure of governance.
