Anybody who is like “Piracy is activism!”—trust me, supporting your local library is about 1000% more effective activism, and it’s still free for you and authors still get paid!

It is absolutely beautifully done, and finding out later that Noah played Hamlet alongside his brother made it even more lovely in retrospect? But the knowledge that Nature of Daylight was about to drop at any moment did get distracting from what was happening onscreen lol!

It just feels kind of like a wasted opportunity for Max Richter to come up with a new track for the finale scene and let it stand on its own? He was right there!! As it is, it's kind of distracting having the big catharsis scene descend into a pop culture meme the minute those intro notes come in

I think it's only the Chris Stapleton version that's been used on a couple of soundtracks - a random obscure George Clooney sci-fi in 2020 and then the pilot ep of Yellowstone way back when! It was absolutely played to saturation prior to 2020 though

His cover of Fade Into You also freaking haunts me

Not really, mostly because Huel is plant protein with sweeteners and Complan is milk-based with actual sugar (imho Bol is a better tasting plant protein shake than Huel, with actual sugar). The point of Complan is to keep calorie intake etc up, so the sugar works better for that.

Booked as soon as it was announced! It doesn't get screenings v often these days so looking forward to seeing it again with your intro :)

Yes! The wide leg jersey ones are finally back in stock there thankfully, they're still the most reliable and easily available option - essentially fast fashion but they do actually fit and hang well

Nashville the show has kind of fallen out of fashion (even if the cast are still touring) but you have to acknowledge the sheer amount of great songs TBone Burnett commissioned from top tier songwriters for the characters to perform (Civil Wars, Striking Matches, Lucinda Williams, Kacey Musgraves)

It's available free via the NHS in the UK up until age 26... For the 26 - 45 age group (who obviously have never had any NHS access to the jab) the cost jumps to an incredibly inaccessible ~£600 for the vaccine course via private healthcare (also the rationale for 45 as the cut off age is baffling)

I don't think the family have been talking about selling the Genesis as is though, it's framed as redeveloping the upper building into student halls that then subsidises a basement level cinema... how true that is in practice idk, but it doesn't sound a very cost effective venue for the PCC either?

I was surprised the pretty comprehensive three hour HBO documentary Amy Schumer made about her experience of HG didn't get mentioned in the article (it's originally about her trying to put a netflix show together while pregnant, but everything gets derailed by HG) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expecti...
