I always thought his (incorrect) panic about vaccines causing autism had an ableist edge to it. As if a child having autism is the worst thing that could happen to them, worse than dying from a preventable disease. Now RFK and his ilk feel emboldened to say the quiet part out loud.

Seriously, I’m really disappointed in them for this headline. I’ve been a monthly supporter for about ten years, thinking that npr will always hold the line. This seems like pandering in an attempt to keep their federal funding.

No one realizes how much the government does until it’s gone. In my area, for example, DOGE cancelled a program that bought produce from local small farms and delivered it to food pantries and schools. It benefited farmers, kids and hungry folks. Why cut this except to be cruel?

I think his defeating oligarchy tour is partly about passing the torch. He has said that he will not be running for senate again, he is retiring. I think AOC will primary Chuck Schumer and *hopefully* become the new progressive voice in the senate.

The most clever abusers don’t have to use physical violence to control. You can tell by how he speaks to the country that he is a narcissistic abuser. He uses psychological manipulation, and 40% of our population are in an abusive relationship with him!

Unfortunately, VRBO doesn’t allow owner-occupied rentals. We are Airbnb hosts who rent a guest suite in the house we live in full time. Owner-occupied rentals don’t deplete the housing stock of an area, so there are different ethical pros and cons to consider as you make your choice.

I was energized hearing him speak. I also love how his colleagues are asking questions to give him relief, motivate him, and share some of their own ideas. It feels like an open forum for dems to converse about what is going on right now, and what to do about it. I want to see more like this!

I hope that, when you are too tired to go on, your Democratic colleagues will jump in! What if democrats held the floor until we can restore due process, until we follow court orders, until Pete Hegseth gets fired for incompetence, etc, etc…

Leave the leaves 😀 Instead of mowing grass around the base of a tree, create an area where you let the leaves stay and become natural mulch. It will provide habitat for good bugs like fireflies. Also, create a pollinator garden and leave the stems during the winter so bugs can shelter there.
